Poplar Grove is focused on six core wines: Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and a signature blend called The Legacy. The grapes are hand picked & hand sorted to guarantee that only the finest fruit makes it into the ferment. A barrel aging and bottle cellaring program have been implemented to ensure the wines are released when they are ready to drink.

Philosophy begins in the vineyard with precise pruning, canopy management, and cluster thinning. Pursue low yields with the aim of fruits with intense concentration. Hand selected fruit combined with minimally-invasive winemaking techniques allow for wine’s pure expression. A combination of natural yeasts, gentle maceration, French oak barrels and attention to every detail, result in wines of depth, character, elegance and finish.

Our primary planting strategy was to plant the five classic Bordeaux red varieties and a small estate white, and we chose to plant Chardonnay. Because we are 100% estate, we wanted to provide our winemaker with the greatest breadth of blending options. To that end we planted two clones of every variety, which provides the primary blending opportunity and adds complexity.

On a cool spring morning in 1929, a small crew from Okanagan Falls set off to a deserted mining camp some 16 miles away from home. Their mission: to dismantle an old wooden church and bring it back to Okanagan Falls.
The plan called for a controlled blast of four dynamite sticks inside the church in order to "loosen the nails". Odd as it may seem, the explosion spared the wood from damage during dismantling.
Save for losing the steeple, the plan succeeded. Now, the 120 year old wooden church stands proudly in its second home of Okanagan Falls.

Jackson-Triggs Okanagan sources grapes from some of the most beautiful vineyards found in British Columbia, many of which have been leased from the Osoyoos Indian Band since 1998. These vineyards get plenty of sunlight thanks to the southwesterly exposure they enjoy along the striking mountain slopes stretching above Osoyoos Lake. High heat during the day is balanced by the nighttime cooling effect of the lake, providing optimum conditions for vine growth and grape ripening.
